Team editor available


Hello everyone,

Today's update includes a big feature: the teams' editor.
You will find a new button on the title screen that will open the in-game editor screen. From there you can select the predefined German and English teams or you can load your own team data. If you don't have any yet, you can just start with the predefined ones and after editing them, save them as a new file. When starting a new game, you will now also be able to select a file with custom teams. The new teams will only come into play for new games, your savegames are unaffected by them.


When you load teams in the editor, they will be displayed on the left side of the screen. You can select each of them and their details will be shown on the right side of the screen. There you can change the most important values and colors of the club (editing logos will be available in the future). Before you leave here to edit another club, you should hit the save button in the lower right corner.

You can also edit the coach and their details. You may assign a coach from all existing coaches, if the coach is already assigned to another club, you will get a hint for that. If you enter a name for which no coach exists, you can create a coach with the desired name.

Aside from the basic data, you have a tab called "players" above the panel. If you click on it, you will be able to edit the roster of the club. You don't have to do this for all clubs and all players. The rules are as follows:

  • if you don't enter any player, then you can just enter the strengths above the table. When the game starts, 15 players will be generated based on those values.
  • You can only add a handful of players as well. Doing so, the strengths will be calculated by the average of players you have for that position. For example, if you only enter two midfielders with a strength of 50 and 70, then the midfield strength will be 60 and the other values will remain as you have entered them before. You can adjust the midfield strength again if you want. When the game starts, the rest of the 15 players will be generated.
  • You can enter more than 15 players if you like, the game will not generate additional players for those teams, so no surprises in your carefully curated data ;)

You can also let the value of a player be calculated to stay in the broad range that the game keeps when generating new players. But of course, you can give your team a 500.000.000€ player if you want ;) Just make sure to hit the save button again!

If you are done with editing, you can save all data to a file using the "Save teams and coaches..." button in the upper right. Here you will be asked to enter a filename so if you have selected the original teams they won't get overwritten. You can create as many team files as you want.

The editor is quite fresh so please let me know if you find any inconsistencies or weird behaviour! More options to edit more data will come with the next updates.

The update includes some other minor improvements as well:

  • usability: exchange money in 5% steps instead of fixed 1.000€
  • winning the league, cup, or champions league counts as career event and will increase the won trophies in the coach screen; also, the game will show a reaction to those events to recognize your achievement (your hometime will celebrate for example)
  • you can cancel educations now if you started a long-term education but need the time to do other things more
  • a new credits window to pay respect to the artist and tester
  • some fixes for narratives, charts, button functionality and some more
